Your procedure will involve some mild discomfort comparable to what you might experience in an intensive massage, but most patients find the warmth and pressure relaxing. The treatment may take no more than half an hour per area, and skin warmth and reddening will disappear within hours, so you can get back to your typical activities immediately.
Your individualized treatment plan will require separate sessions spaced out over a few weeks for optimal effect. SmoothShapes® vs. VelaShape™
SmoothShapes® is gentle and non-destructive. It combines the best of multiple (4) technologies (650 nm low intensity level light, 915 nm laser, massage and vacuum). VelaShape™ causes bulk heating which results in a more painful treatment. VelaShape™ may produce minor lipolysis related to the heat, however their primary endpoint is based on temporary tissue contraction. The technician knows when the VelaShape™ treatment is complete when there is sustained erythema (swelling with redness).
Results
The results of SmoothShapes continue to improve for three to four months after the end of the eight session treatment and stabilizes for 6 months to over a year. Pain
SmoothShapes® is relaxing and feels like a deep tissue massage with minimal pain.
